Leadership Workshops that change how your team works together

We run small-group workshops across Scotland for managers who want to lead with clarity, not guesswork. Each session is built around real workplace scenarios your people face right now.

Four workshops, each tackling a different leadership gap

Every programme caps at 14 participants. We use case-based exercises drawn from Scottish public and private sector organisations, not textbook theory. You leave with a written action plan you can put to work the following Monday.

Confident decision-making

This two-day workshop helps mid-level managers make faster, better decisions under pressure. We cover cognitive bias recognition, structured problem framing, and how to communicate a decision to your team so it sticks. Participants practice with anonymised case studies from NHS Scotland and financial services.

Leading through conflict

Disagreement is normal. Mismanaged disagreement is expensive. Over a single intensive day, we teach managers how to spot conflict patterns early, hold difficult conversations without escalation, and build team agreements that prevent repeat friction. Includes a 30-day follow-up coaching call.

First-time manager foundations

Stepping into management for the first time can feel like learning to swim mid-river. This three-day programme covers delegation, feedback delivery, one-to-one meeting structure, and personal time management. Designed for people promoted in the last 12 months or about to be.

3 days · In-person

Strategic thinking for senior leaders

Senior leaders often get trapped in operational detail. This workshop creates space to think long-range: scenario planning, stakeholder mapping, and aligning team priorities to organisational strategy. Limited to 8 participants per cohort for deeper discussion.

Built in Scotland, for people who lead here

Crest Leadership Courses started in 2019 when two former NHS leadership development officers realised most off-the-shelf training programmes ignored the specific pressures Scottish organisations face: tight public budgets, distributed rural teams, and a culture that values directness over corporate polish.

We write our own materials. Every exercise is drawn from real situations our facilitators have encountered in local government, energy, higher education, and third-sector organisations across Scotland. Our facilitators hold accredited coaching qualifications and have a combined 35 years of leadership experience between them.

We are based at 53 Nicolette Side, Wiza-over-Jacobson, DL8 6CI, Scotland, United Kingdom. Most workshops run at client premises or hired venues, though we host smaller cohorts at our own training suite.

Practical outcomes, measured by the people who attend

Clearer priorities

82% of participants reported spending less time on low-value tasks within six weeks of attending. They credited the priority matrix exercise we run on day one.

Stronger team trust

Teams whose managers attended the conflict workshop saw a measurable drop in grievance escalations. One local authority team went from four formal complaints in a quarter to zero.

Faster decisions

Participants in the decision-making programme cut their average time-to-decision on mid-level budget approvals by roughly 40%, based on self-reported data collected three months post-workshop.

Before you book

How many people can attend a single workshop?
Most programmes cap at 14. The strategic thinking workshop is limited to 8. Smaller groups mean more time for individual feedback and richer discussion. If you have a larger team, we run back-to-back cohorts in the same week to keep costs down.
Do you deliver workshops outside Scotland?
We occasionally run sessions in northern England and have delivered online workshops for teams based across the UK. Our materials are written with a Scottish organisational context in mind, but the core skills transfer well. Get in touch and we can discuss whether the fit is right.
What does a typical day look like?
Sessions run from 9:00 to 16:30 with a lunch break and two shorter breaks. Mornings focus on new concepts and frameworks. Afternoons are almost entirely practical: role-plays, case analysis, and action planning. We avoid slides wherever possible.
Can the content be tailored to our organisation?
Yes. We offer a tailoring package where one of our facilitators spends a half-day interviewing your senior leaders and reviewing internal challenges before the workshop. The exercises and case studies are then rewritten to reflect your actual context. This adds roughly 15% to the standard fee.
What is the pricing structure?
We price per cohort, not per head. A one-day workshop starts at £2,400 for up to 14 participants. Multi-day programmes and the residential option are priced individually. We send a detailed quote within two working days of your enquiry.
